Mayfield PTA
Mayfield PTA is a totally voluntary school committee made up of parents and teachers from Mayfield and has been established since the school was opened. Our primary objectives are to
- Organise social events for both the pupils and the parents of Mayfield which include the Christmas Fayre and the Summer Garden Party.
- Support the school in any events they put on for both pupils and parents, including refreshments for the leavers assembly and nursery nativity plays to name but a few.
In the past few years we have raised over £12,000 for the school which has been used to fund an adventure playground for children as well as buying interactive whiteboards for all the classrooms. The two main events we organise each year only work because of the support of all the parents and children in the school, either by attending or helping out on the day.
As a parent of a child at Mayfield we would like to invite you to join the PTA in what ever capacity you can. We meet once a month during the term for a formal meeting to discuss plans for forthcoming events. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents with children in different years at the school, as well as getting involved in what happens at the school on a social front.
